Vallon des Oliviers Organic Olive Oil
Vallon Des Oliviers Organic Olive Oil is an olive oil made in the most highly awarded olive mill in France.
This olive oil is made from a blend of native olives, including Salonmenque, Aglandau, and Picholine varieties.
Its color is pale green with yellow reflections, and the dominant aromas are vegetal with hints of hay and dry almonds. It is a balanced oil of light intensity without the bitterness or spiciness of other oils.
Both raw and cooked, this oil goes well with all types of salads and cooking. It is a light oil for light meals.
The olives used to produce this oil are grown in certified organic orchards located in Aix-en-Provence. As for the Château Virant mill, it is also certified organic. Thus, all stages of the manufacturing process benefit from organic certification.
This oil can be consumed raw or cooked with any type of cuisine.
Château Virant has an HVE 3 certification issued by the French government. This distinguished label is only obtained after having reached the highest level of environmental certification for farms. This label signifies sustainable production and practices with careful management of natural resources.
These olives come from the partner groves of Château Virant located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-D’Azur regions.
How it's made
To make Vallon Des Oliviers Organic Olive Oil, the olives are harvested from Château Virant’s partner groves and brought to the Château for processing. Oil is stored in vats year round, and oil is bottled shortly before shipping.
Keep oils away from light and heat to maintain the subtle flavors and nutritional benefits of the oil. By following these simple precautions, the taste qualities will not be compromised and the shelf life of the oil can be extended.
Living Heritage Company
Thanks to its renowned oil mill, which is one of the largest in France, the Château Virant is the first estate in France to have been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label.
A little bit like monuments designated as national heritage sites, this label recognizes companies that serve as representatives of excellence in French craftsmanship and enterprise.
Culinary College of France
Since 2018, all of our olive oils have been recognized by the Culinary College of France, an institution created by internationally renowned chiefs such as Alain Ducasse, Thierry Marx, Joël Robuchon, and Yannick Alléno. This gourmet institution promotes French gastronomy throughout the world. With their rigorously selected items, the Culinary College of France highlights the heritage and quality of French cuisine.
