The Fruité Mûr olive oil can from Château Virant is intended for olive oil lovers who easily consume it all year round. Our customers often start with our bottled oils and quickly move on to our canisters.

Our ripe fruity olive oil is a clever blend of olives harvested in our orchards. As soon as they are in our baskets, they are crushed in order to preserve the natural organoleptic and physiological properties of the olive oil.

This oil comes mainly from the Salonenque, Aglandau and other traditional varieties of Provence.

The Salonenque is a variety native to Salon de Provence. It has been cultivated there for hundreds of years and provides oil and olives to the inhabitants of the region.

The Aglandau is a traditional variety of Provence. It is found in the valley of Baux, in the Gard and of course in the surroundings of Marseille and Aix en Provence, where our orchards are located.

To make our fruité mûr, we use the same olives as the fruité vert. But, the harvest date is later which makes this oil softer, with a lighter ardor. It develops more the aromas of ripe apples that you can easily find when tasting this oil.

Area To produce this ripe fruity oil, 42 hectares of our olive grove are cultivated.
Location The olive grove is located in the Bouches du Rhône, between Salon de Provence, Marseille and Aix en Provence.
Planting density Our olive trees benefit from an average of 30m2 to flourish
Floors The soils of our olive grove are clay-limestone
Date of harvest The ripe fruits are harvested later in the season, from mid-November to mid-December.
Type of crop The entire estate is certified High Environmental Value Level 3 (HVE3), the most demanding sustainable agriculture there is.
Oliveraie The olives of our fruity ripe are harvested on the property of Château Virant.
Age of the olive trees From the frost of 1956, the fire of 1985 or planted more than 15 years ago, the whole olive grove contributes to the elaboration of this oil.
Sorting All our olives are subjected to a quality control by our team at the entrance of the mill, they are then stripped and washed before being transformed into oil.
