Sauvignon

Sauvignon| White

Far from the classic herbaceous aromas, our Sauvignon takes you on a journey to the tropics with notes of pineapple and mango. Discover this sunny, instantly indulgent version.

Learn more

Forget everything you know about traditional Sauvignon Blanc. Where you might expect cut grass, our 2025 vintage surprises you with a total sensory immersion in the tropics. Imagine the mineral tension of our clay-limestone soils meeting the generosity of ripe mango and the sparkling acidity of pineapple.

It is this duality that makes this “gem” an exceptional wine: a sunny, almost fleshy attack, immediately followed by a mentholated freshness that “pops” on the finish.

Did you know? Because of its extraordinary aromatic intensity, this Sauvignon is one of the few whites capable of holding its own with ice cubes. It doesn't dilute: it opens up. The cold tames its exoticism, making it the ultimate companion for your afternoons by the water or your spicy sushi platters.

The spirit of the cuvée: Born from the freedom offered by the IGP, this single vineyard selection is the result of an immediate crush by the owners and cellar teams during blending. A bold creation for those looking to think outside the box.

Pairings

Perfect for appetizers and tapas, while pairing harmoniously with grilled fish or white meats.

Tasting advice

The freshness of this wine will be best enhanced if served chilled at 12 °C in frozen glasses.

Environmental distinction

Château Virant has an HVE 3 certification issued by the French government. This distinguished label is only obtained after having reached the highest level of environmental certification for farms. This label signifies sustainable production and practices with careful management of natural resources.

Awards

In 2026, Rosé Envers le Vent won the gold medal at the CGA for its very first selection.

The Concours Général Agricole de Paris allows farmers to position themselves in relation to their peers in the same appellation. Château Virant, with its wines and olive oils, wins medals at this competition every year, making it one of the most awarded estates in France.
