Château Beauferan Red
Recently purchased by the Cheylan family, Château Beauferan is located on the hill of Velaux. Abandoned for many years, the château, its winery, its cellar and its vineyard had to be rebuilt. Knowing the fabulous potential of the terroirs of the estate, Robert, Noële, Christine and Pascal Cheylan bought the abandoned estate in 2014 and initially undertook the restoration of the vineyard. After several years of work without sufficient harvest, the estate now produces high quality grapes
Before the complete renovation of the cellar of Château Beauferan, the grapes are still vinified in the cellars of Château Virant
The objective of the Cheylan family is to magnify this terroir and to give back its letters of nobility to Château Beauferan.
Château Beauferan Red, Protected Designation of Origin Coteaux d'Aix en Provence is obtained after pre-fermentation maceration at 15°, post-fermentation maceration and aging in barrels of third passage for 12 months. This vinification process, similar to the excellent Cuvée Prestige Rouge Château Virant, offers power and complexity to the mouth of this wine dominated by notes of red fruit jam, spices, vanilla and caramel and round tannins.
